Genesis 17:1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless.
Want to know what the word “Almighty” means according to the dictionary? “Having unlimited power; omnipotent, as God.”
“As God.”… Only God, I would correct. That kind of power, the kind that is UNLIMITED, only comes from God Almighty!
I found in interesting to do a word search on when “EL SHADDAI” was mentioned in the bible and to whom this name of God was made known to.
The first was what you see above, Abram. Many years later you see Him tell Moses in Exodus 6: 3, these words; “I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by my name the Lord I did not make myself known to them.”
If you look up this name, you will find I believe 12 times it is used. All of the times, God was trying to get the person to trust Him in a difficult situation, something that their minds had a hard time understanding, or seeing it His way.
We have some heavy burdens in our household that some may say are too big to hope for. Some may say that they are unreasonable desires. Some may say… but those who do say, don’t know my EL SHADDAI. I want Him to reveal Himself in this name to me. One of many sweet friends who also has some heavy burdens and desires, shared on her face book status the other day this scripture; Jeremiah 32:27 “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?” The answer? No! Your power is UNLIMITED! You are EL SHADDAI, God ALMIGHTY! Make Your power known today in our lives! To you, my friend, do a word search on the words “too hard” and the name “EL SHADDAI”, and see what you find.
I love you.

Deanna;
AMEN< AMEN<AMEN oh and AMEN! You have no idea, but GOD does, and your words were confirmation for my heart this morning. Thank you for your sweet beautiful writing, I love the way The Lord pours through hearts like yourself, Words of Life. Words of hope. Words of Wisdom! I have to share as mothers, we don't only carry our own burdens in our hearts, but the ones of our children as well, our hearts are connected to our children, so we feel their pain! And it is so hard to seperate from that pain. God is our Father, And He feels our pain in our heart, and He sees our burdens, and CARES even more than we can imagine. And in HIS GREAT Power He is more than ABLE, Praise GOD, To do What HE says He can DO! And that is way more than I could ever humanly possible do for my children, and that is why I place MY HOPE in HIM. Once in praying and crying out to my Father, He reminded me "Angel, you are not their advocate, Jesus Christ is" immediately a huge weight was lifted away from my heart. God is our peace, He is our El Shaddai! Thankyou Lord God Almighty, Lord of All!
In Christ Love;
Angel

Hey Deanna
I read your blog quite frequently but never reply and say thanks but today I read it and sent it to my friend who is so burdened with her husband being sick with cancer and family issues surrounding the situations and I thought what a awesome message for her to hear so I texted her the verses and some of your message. Yes i can text now. My kids are so impressed. Kelly is now in China teaching English and of course Jonny is with us and doing pretty good. Grades so so but otherwise good. Kevin is doing great also. Anyway your message helped me too. Hope all of your family is doing well. April and I talk often because of the boys being in Trap shooting together. Keep up the awesome work.

OH Becky! How I long for “my group” sometimes! I see Phyliss and Monica on here and now have the joy of you! How good of God to encourage my heart this way! You have no idea how much I miss you and your sweet spirit! Please feel free to respond anytime you read something that touches you! I love that you girls are still treasuring Christ! What greater joy could I have from my Memphis journey, than to know that God brought good out it in the form of pulling our hearts closer to Him! My heart is overflowing! Thank you for touching base with me, but more importantly, thank you for pursuing EL SHADDAI!
I love you! Deanna
Most often, when I read your blogs, I feel our group sitting around Renee’s table, ministering to each other, pursuing His righteous word, praising Him, loving Him and each other through our blessed friendship. We so deeply needed that friendship bond and how we grew with each other. I know seasons must change, I accept that fact, but how I cherish and long for those days.
Love all my sistahs in Christ,
Phyllis
I love you! You are such a blessing to me!!! And now… we wait for Renee and Monica to talk to us…
