Ps 33:12
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!
Ps 105:43
So he brought his people out with joy, his chosen ones with singing.
Isaiah 41:9
you whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, “You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off”;
Isaiah 43:10
“You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me.
Remember with me the last time you were in a place where you were waiting to be chosen or cast aside, remember the feelings of fear, anguish, even excitement?
This morning as I was studying Esther, the question was asked in so many words, ” What was it about Esther that made her more sure of herself as she came before the King?”
My thoughts turned to the times in my life when I have felt inferior to others, (mostly female) and what it would have taken inside of me to stand in place not worrying about what others saw or what they may have even felt toward me. I realized very quickly, if I am to be secure in “a place of waiting” I must know that I am ALREADY CHOSEN! By not just a king, but THE KING OF KINGS! I started looking up the scriptures that tell me I am chosen by Him, and I found over 100 very quickly that actually use this word; not including all of the other words that have the same meaning.
I can hold my head up and with joy serve others by simply knowing that I have been chosen, given everything I need for life and godliness and then commissioned to go tell others about this great and wondrous choosing!
For God SO loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER, ( even me, and yes, you!) Believes on Him should not perish( remember Esther’s famous quote? ” If I perish, I perish”) but have eternal life. Jn 3:16
We do not have to wonder about perishing as she did, we can come before this King, believe that He is God, and have eternal life! WOW! I need to shout!
Have a Merry Christmas, worshiping this King!
