Proverbs 5 :21
For a man’s ways are before the eyes of the Lord,
and he ponders all his paths.
As I read this passage this morning I was struck by the truth of God’s all knowing power. What does it mean that He ponders all of my paths and how should this affect my life and how I live it? As a mother I am constantly aware of my children watching my every move and how I truly strive to live in front of them a life that honors not just the Lord, but therefore, them. But what a concept to keep in mind that my ways are always before the Lord. He sees everything, not just what I would naturally consider “before Him”. He sees the thoughts and intentions of my heart, He sees the ideas about Him and others that I struggle with. He sees my need for grace and mercy. I am so taken with this thought… Yesterday in class I read the following scriptures… Keeping in mind that none of this I am able to do, unless the Spirit gives me the grace to do it… So dependant on Him for how I live my life. My prayer is that I may show Him the honor that He so deserves on my life’s path.
Romans 12:9-17
9 Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. 10 Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. 11 Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. 13 Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. 17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all.
