Proverbs 14:10
This a thought that has been coming to me the last few weeks. Is it possible that bitterness is the accepted addiction in the body of Christ? I know so many people who are and I too have been a ploy of this satanic bondage. What we don’t seem to realize is that when we are hurt by someone and we don’t forgive them, we of course have the unforgiveness that is condemned in scripture yet admitted to by most believers. However, if I were to ask you if you thought you had bitterness, most would say “no”. I honestly think this is a huge blind spot just like an alcoholic does “not have a drinking problem and can quit any time he or she desires” I believe we see this as not a big deal but yet it is destroying homes, churches and lives all around me. What does true forgiveness look like? What would it look like in marriage’s, in churches, in families? Do you think the world could imitate this or do you think we might finally look a little different to them? What about Joy? Would it restore our joy with each other but more importantly with God? What about Peace? Can you imagine the peace you would have in your family if true forgiveness happened? In our church? What if forgiveness happened between women in the church who had hurt each other? What about this?
this is good
I have bitterness and unforgiveness! It rears its ugly head at me everyday! Those constant reminders of hurts and disappointments swimming in my head is a sure way of knowing I have yet to deal with certain issues…
It is easier said than done..that’s for sure…
Joy? I would have alot more of it..
